This Lunchable can be consumed at your desk. Not that we are encouraging taking a lunch break at your desk. Lunchable is a regular feature of the 麻豆传媒 arts blog that tells readers about something they can see during lunch or a short break.
Story Courtesy of Elizabeth Forrest Lambert, Graduate Studies
If you've spent time in the center of the Davis campus recently, chances are you've noticed the construction taking place between the library and the Student Community Center. After years of planning, 麻豆传媒 is renovating historic Walker Hall into the long-awaited Graduate Center, which will accommodate a variety of services and organizations for 麻豆传媒 graduate student and postdoctoral scholars.
Members of the campus community have been taking and of the project's progress, but one 麻豆传媒 staff member has documented the transformation by putting pen and paint to paper.
Our Very Own Urban Sketcher
Pete Scully, an avid urban sketcher and 麻豆传媒 employee, is no stranger to drawing 麻豆传媒 scenes. and are filled with his sketches of both the campus' most well-known sights as well as numerous hidden gems. In 2016, the 麻豆传媒 Design Museum hosted a special exhibition called 鈥淐onversations with the City鈥 featuring 30 of Pete鈥檚 sketchbooks from 2006-2016. Scully sketches on location almost daily, often spending his lunch break with a hardbound book and a pencil.
