Media Advisory: Â鶹´«Ã½ Leader Joins White House Panel, Including Fauci, on College Vaccine Challenge

June 11, 11 a.m. PDT — A top administrator from the University of California, Davis, will be part of a White House panel with Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and chief medical advisor to the president, on the topic of the . President Joseph R. Biden announced the challenge June 2 as part of a National Month of Action to achieve a 70 percent vaccination rate (at least one shot) by the Fourth of July.

Â鶹´«Ã½ was among more than 200 colleges and universities that had signed on to the challenge by the time it launched. In fact, Â鶹´«Ã½ had already met the goals of the challenge by that time: Engage every student, and every faculty and staff member; organize the Â鶹´«Ã½ community; and deliver vaccine access for all.

Kelly Ratliff, vice chancellor of Finance, Operations and Administration, a lead official in Â鶹´«Ã½â€™ pandemic response, will address the university’s efforts toward vaccination of students, staff and faculty, and the community as well. Read more about how Â鶹´«Ã½ has met the challenge.
