Â鶹´«Ã½ police are investigating a suspicious object found near a Cargo coffee kiosk between the School of Education and Olson Hall on the eastern edge of campus.

Campus police received a call about the possible explosive device at 5:30 p.m. today. Nearby buildings were evacuated.

The Yolo County Bomb Squad and the Â鶹´«Ã½ Fire Department responded.
By 8:45 p.m. Â鶹´«Ã½ Police Lt. Nader Oweis said the object had been rendered safe.

A Cargo coffee kiosk located near the law school on the south side of campus burned to the ground Friday morning in what Â鶹´«Ã½ fire officials described as a suspicious fire. That incident also remains under investigation.
