Dairy industry sustainability will be the theme of Dairy Technology Day II, set for Tuesday, June 7, at Â鶹´«Ã½.
The daylong event is expected to draw some 200 milk processors and others involved with the California dairy industry to the Â鶹´«Ã½ Conference Center from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to discuss sustainability issues that are of special importance to the dairy industry.
Topics will include the dairy industry’s commitment to sustainability; dairy products, nutrition and sustainability; and Â鶹´«Ã½â€™ commitment to sustainability. Speakers will be from the dairy industry and Â鶹´«Ã½.
The morning keynote speaker will be Gail Barnes, vice president of technology and packaging for Dairy Management Inc., a nonprofit organization that works with state and regional dairy promotion organizations to ensure the future success of the dairy industry.
The event is open to the public; registration is $95 per person for industry members or $20 for Friends of the Robert Mondavi Institute members and Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty, staff and students.
