Presidential Awards to Faculty

Several faculty at the University of California, Davis, are among the recipients of presidential awards for excellence in STEM mentoring and research announced by the White House Jan. 13 and 14.

The Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring was established by the White House in 1995 and is administered by the National Science Foundation. The most prestigious mentoring award bestowed by the White House, it recognizes mentors who work with underrepresented groups to fully develop the nation's human resources in STEM.

CASE and Signal Honor Communications and Development Projects

There are many ways to tell the story of �鶹��ý and celebrate the people who help make those stories possible, and projects focused on everything from whales to burgers to grand opening events have earned recent accolades.

The honors are from Signal Awards and the arm of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE, that encompasses five western U.S. states and two territories.

Award Ceremony Illuminates Employee Excellence

The Chancellor's Outstanding Staff Awards ceremony last month celebrated the remarkable dedication and achievements of 12 staff employees that make �鶹��ý and �鶹��ý Health a better place to work, learn and receive care. Held at Chancellor Gary S. May's residence on April 29, the event was a testament to their invaluable contributions.

Opening the ceremony, May expressed gratitude.
